Partial stripping and re-assembly of the pistol


Take the pistol in the right hand and:

Remove the magazine by pressing on its stop.

Pull the slide to the rear and hold it in by means of the manual safety pushed upwards into the front notch.
Pivot the slide stop upwards about its pin to disengage it from its recess; press the stub of the pin which projects out of the right side of the receiver and remove the slide stop.
Taking care to hold the slide with the left hand, press the safety catch down to release the slide, then remove the slide by the front until its completely disengaged.
Place the front of the slide in the palm of the left hand and take in the right hand the head of the return spring guide, compress the spring so as to disengage the head of the barrel lug, and withdraw the spring and its guide. Remove the barrel.

Re-assembly of the pistol

- Replace the barrel in the slide;
- Replace the return spring and its guide in such a way that the guide head is located exactly along an extension of the barrel nose;
- Keeping the barrel against the slide, set the latter back in position, holding it there by means of the safety catch which must be engaged into the front notch;
-Replace the slide stop in its recess;
-Lower the safety so as to release this from the front notch of the slide. The slide may then be allowed to take up its initial position under the action of the return spring;
-Replace the magazine;
-Move the hammer to the uncocked position.
